اخبار اليمن : Houthi militia intelligence develops a new method for monitoring and spying on the residents of Sanaa

Security sources in Sanaa revealed to NewsYemen that the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has developed a new method for collecting data on the residents of Sanaa, as part of the control measures imposed and practiced by the militias against citizens.

The sources said: The so-called intelligence service, which is controlled by the militias, has deployed its field teams to various lanes of Sanaa, using the information in the possession of Oqal al-Harat, who are responsible for distributing domestic gas cylinders, with the aim of determining the place of residence of each citizen and whether the house in which he lives belongs to him or rent.

Since its coup and its control of state institutions, the Houthi militia has diverted the process of selling household gas to citizens through the 'Aqal Al-Harat' and obligated them to register all personal information of each citizen according to his personal identity and phone numbers, and this information is now used in its security and political procedures, including mobilization operations, and fundraising operations for its sectarian events.

The sources explained that the process of collecting information carried out by the Houthi intelligence service included recording the information of every citizen according to a digital map that enables the militias and their security elements to determine the residence and presence of each person and thus easy access to them at any time, expressing their fear that the militias will use this information not only to increase  Monitoring and spying on citizens in Sana’a only, but also in fabricating charges against anyone who takes a position opposing it, or refuses to respond to its demands related to collecting donations or participating in attending its activities.

The Houthi militia had merged the two main security agencies (the Political Security Service and the National Security Service) into one agency under the name of the Intelligence Service, and appointed to manage its security leaders affiliated with its own security apparatus called Preventive Security, which is now controlling the performance of all state security agencies, its leader, and owner.  The upper hand, broader influence and the first decision in everything related to the management of the various state institutions, as it is forbidden for any institution to manage any activity without the approval of the intelligence service,Through the intervention of this body in obstructing the implementation of the procedures and rulings issued by the judicial authorities, especially those related to the release of prisoners and detainees without any evidence, as well as its control over the activities, meetings and interviews of any international officials visiting Sana’a,And preventing them from meeting anyone who the Houthi intelligence service does not want to meet, up to the Houthi intelligence service’s control of arresting any citizen who has a position on the militias, or has a feud with any Houthi leader, and confiscating the money and property of all militia opponents, whether those they accuse of allegations of alliance with abroad and used  The judiciary to issue political rulings against them, or those who take positions opposing the policies of the militias from merchants, investors and other owners of money.
